Dragonslayer, arguably the best of all dragon movies
and one of the better fantasy films ever made, is not for
the very young or faint of heart, as it has some very realistically
gory scenes, and the dragon at the "heart" of
the movie, Vermithrax Pejorative, is no Draco, but rather
a truly loathsome and terrifying beast.
Filmed in 1981 in atmospheric locations in the British Isles,
the
special effects by any yardstick are still spectacular.
